Here is today’s Daily Devotional

Today’s Scripture:

“I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.”

—Genesis 17:16 (NIV)

Reflection:

In this verse, God makes a bold promise to Abraham about Sarah. Despite her old age and the years of waiting, God declares that she will be the mother of nations and that kings will come from her lineage. This promise must have seemed impossible to Abraham and Sarah, but it highlights an important truth: God’s plans and blessings are not limited by human circumstances.

When God speaks a blessing, it is not based on what we see or understand—it’s based on His power and purpose. Sarah’s story reminds us that God’s timing is perfect, even when it seems delayed by our standards. He fulfills His promises in ways that often surpass our expectations.

God’s blessing over Sarah also shows us that He values each of us as key parts of His divine plan. Like Sarah, you might feel unqualified, overlooked, or uncertain about how God could use you. But His promises for your life are rooted in His ability, not your limitations.

Application:

Is there an area of your life where you feel doubt or uncertainty about God’s promises? Take time today to reflect on Sarah’s story and trust that God is working, even when you can’t see it. His blessings are often bigger than our doubts, and His plans will come to pass in His perfect timing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your promises, which are greater than my doubts and circumstances. Help me to trust in Your timing and to believe in the plans You have for my life. Use me, like Sarah, to be part of something bigger than myself. May I walk in faith and expectancy, knowing that You are faithful to fulfill Your word. I pray in Jesus' name,  Amen.

Challenge for Today:

Think about a promise or dream God has placed in your heart. Write it down and pray over it, asking God to strengthen your faith as you wait for His timing. Remember, His blessings are greater than your doubts, and His plans are always good.
