As we approach Christmas, we want to intentionally slow down and reflect on the greatest gift ever given, the birth of Jesus Christ. Over the next several days, these devotionals will focus on the promises, people, and purpose surrounding His arrival.
May this season draw your heart closer to Jesus and remind you of the hope, peace, and joy found in Him.
Reflect on what may be stealing your joy. Invite God to renew your joy through remembering His goodness and faithfulness.
Scripture:
“And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him.”
— Matthew 2:11 (NKJV)
Reflection:
The wise men traveled a great distance to worship Jesus, offering Him gifts that reflected honor, sacrifice, and reverence. Their journey required time, effort, and faith. They recognized that Jesus was worthy of their very best.
Today, God does not ask us for gold or treasures, but for our hearts. True worship is offering our lives—our time, obedience, devotion, and love—to the King of Kings.
Christmas invites us to consider what we are bringing to Jesus.
Application:
Reflect on what it looks like for you to offer your best to God in this season.
Challenge for Today:
Give God intentional, undistracted time today—whether through prayer, worship, or reading His Word.
Prayer:
Jesus, You are worthy of my best. I offer You my heart, my time, and my life. Teach me to worship You sincerely and faithfully. In Jesus Name, Amen.
