Scripture

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.” — Isaiah 43:1

Today’s Blessing

There is something deeply comforting about being known.

We live in a world that often reduces people to numbers, titles, profiles, and statistics. We become customer numbers, employee IDs, usernames, and account holders. It can be easy to feel invisible in the crowd.

Yet Isaiah 43:1 speaks directly into that feeling.

God says, “I have called you by name.”

In biblical times, knowing someone’s name represented a personal relationship. Names carried meaning, identity, and belonging. When God says He has called you by name, He is not speaking to humanity in general. He is speaking to you personally.

The Creator of the universe knows your name.

He knows your story, your struggles, your fears, and your dreams. He knows the parts of your life that no one else sees. He knows the questions you carry and the burdens you bear.

And then He adds three powerful words:

“You are mine.”

Those words are not based on your performance. They are not dependent on having a perfect week, month, or year. They are rooted in God’s love and His decision to claim you as His own.

Today, if you feel overlooked, forgotten, or insignificant, remember this truth:

You are known.

You are loved.

You are His.

The God who calls the stars by name knows your name too.

That is a blessing worth carrying with you throughout the day.

A Prayer for today

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for knowing me personally. Thank You that I am not lost in the crowd or forgotten by You. Thank You for calling me by name and reminding me that I belong to You.

Help me to rest in the security of Your love today. When I feel unseen, remind me that You see me. When I feel insignificant, remind me that I matter to You. Let the truth of Your Word sink deep into my heart and bring peace to every anxious thought.

Thank You for being a God who knows, loves, and calls His children by name.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
