“When wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion will preserve you; understanding will keep you.”

Proverbs 2:10–11

We live in a world filled with information.

We can find an answer to almost any question in seconds. But having more information doesn’t necessarily mean having more wisdom.

Wisdom is different.

Wisdom is knowing what to do with what you know. It is the ability to recognize what is right, make good decisions, and choose God’s path even when another path appears easier or more appealing.

Proverbs reminds us that true wisdom isn’t simply something we collect in our minds. It is something that takes root in our hearts.

When God’s wisdom becomes part of who we are, it begins to shape how we think, how we respond, and how we make decisions. It gives us discernment when circumstances are unclear and understanding when life doesn’t make sense.

Sometimes the wisest thing we can do is slow down, pray, and ask God for direction before we move forward.

God doesn’t just want to give you answers. He wants to develop wisdom within you.

Before making an important decision today, pause and invite God into the process.

Ask yourself:

“Am I choosing what is easiest, or am I choosing what is right?”

Bring your decisions, conversations, relationships, and plans before God. Ask Him to guard your thoughts and give you discernment.

And remember that wisdom often requires patience. You don’t have to have everything figured out today.

Trust God to lead you one step at a time.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the wisdom and understanding that come from You. Help me not only to seek knowledge, but to allow Your wisdom to take root deep within my heart. Give me discernment when I face difficult choices and help me recognize what is right, even when the easier path looks more appealing.

Guard my thoughts, guide my decisions, and help me walk through life with wisdom, humility, and confidence in You.

Before you make your next important decision, stop and pray.

Ask God for wisdom, discernment, and understanding. Then give yourself enough quiet to listen.

Don’t simply ask, “What do I want to do?”

Ask, “God, what would You have me do?”

Let His wisdom guide your next step.

Remember this today

You don’t need to have all the answers.

You need to know the One who does.

When we invite God’s wisdom into our hearts, He gives us the discernment to navigate life’s decisions and the confidence to walk in His direction.

Pray. Reflect. Grow.
