Today’s Scripture
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Psalm 147:3
Reflection
We all carry wounds.
Some are visible. Others are buried deep within our hearts—wounds caused by loss, disappointment, rejection, betrayal, failure, or circumstances we simply cannot understand.
Sometimes we become so accustomed to carrying those wounds that we forget we don’t have to carry them alone.
Psalm 147:3 reminds us of something beautiful about God: He doesn’t ignore our brokenness. He heals it.
God sees the places in your heart that others may never see. He knows the pain you struggle to put into words. He knows the questions you still carry and the memories that still hurt.
And He draws near.
Healing doesn’t always happen as quickly as we want. Sometimes God heals us through time, through His Word, through prayer, through other people, and through learning to surrender what we cannot change.
But whatever the process looks like, we can trust the One who holds our hearts.
You don’t have to pretend you’re okay when you’re hurting. Bring your pain to God. Bring Him the disappointment. Bring Him the questions. Bring Him the things you wish had been different.
His grace is big enough to meet you exactly where you are.
And where there is brokenness, God can bring restoration.
Application
Today, take a few quiet moments to identify one hurt you’ve been carrying.
Instead of replaying it in your mind or trying to fix it yourself, give it to God.
Tell Him honestly how it has affected you. Then ask Him to help you release what you cannot change and trust Him with your healing.
You may not feel completely healed today—and that’s okay.
Healing is often a journey, not a moment.
Take the next step with God.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for seeing the wounds that I carry deep within my heart. There are hurts I may struggle to explain, but nothing is hidden from You.
Draw close to me and gently restore the places that have been broken by disappointment, loss, rejection, or pain.
Help me release the things I cannot change and trust You with my healing. Replace sorrow with peace and bitterness with grace.
Let Your love bring wholeness to my heart and remind me that I am never alone.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Challenge for Today
Give God one thing you’re still carrying.
Write it down, pray over it, and consciously surrender it to Him.
Whenever that hurt comes back to your mind today, remind yourself:
“God sees my brokenness, and He is healing my heart.”
Trust Him with the process. ❤️
