Every day, we are surrounded by voices telling us which direction to go.

The world offers opinions. Social media offers advice. Friends and even our own emotions can influence the decisions we make.

But God offers something greater: wisdom that leads to life.

Proverbs reminds us that godly wisdom is like a fountain of life. It refreshes us, guides us, and helps protect us from the snares that can pull us away from God.

Wisdom isn’t simply knowing what is right. It is having the discernment to recognize God’s path—and the courage to follow it.

Sometimes the wise choice isn’t the easiest choice. Sometimes it means saying no when everyone else is saying yes. Sometimes it means slowing down, praying, and seeking God’s direction before making a decision.

When we anchor our lives in God’s Word, His wisdom becomes a source of strength and direction.

Today, before making an important decision, pause and ask:

“God, what does Your Word say about this?”

Instead of immediately following your emotions, opinions, or circumstances, invite God into the decision.

Spend a few minutes reading Scripture and praying for discernment. Ask God to reveal anything that may be distracting you from His path.

Remember, you don’t have to figure everything out on your own.

God promises to give wisdom to those who seek Him.

Loving Father, thank You for the life-giving wisdom You freely offer through Your Word. Protect me from the traps of temptation and the distractions that pull me away from You.

Give me discernment to recognize the right path and courage to follow it faithfully. Let Your wisdom refresh my soul like a fountain and guide every step I take.

May my life reflect the peace, integrity, and purpose that come from walking in Your truth.

Today, identify one decision or area of your life where you need wisdom. Spend a few quiet minutes asking God for direction, then turn to His Word and listen for His guidance.

Don’t just ask God to show you the right path.
