Today’s Scripture
“I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints.”

Reflection
Our world is full of noise. News headlines, social media, responsibilities, worries, and the opinions of others all compete for our attention. It’s easy to become overwhelmed when every voice seems louder than the last.
Yet Psalm 85:8 reminds us that God’s voice is different. While the world often speaks fear, uncertainty, and confusion, the Lord speaks peace to His people.
Hearing God’s voice doesn’t usually happen in the middle of life’s distractions. It happens when we intentionally slow down, open His Word, and spend time in His presence. The more we seek Him, the more we begin to recognize His gentle guidance above every other voice.
God has never stopped speaking. Through Scripture, through prayer, and through the work of the Holy Spirit, He continues to remind His children that they are loved, known, and never alone.
Today, choose to turn down the volume of everything else so you can hear the One voice that truly brings lasting peace.
Application
Take five quiet minutes today without your phone, television, or distractions. Read today’s Scripture several times and simply ask God, “Lord, what do You want me to hear today?”
Instead of filling every silent moment, allow space for God’s peace to settle into your heart. His answers may not always come immediately, but His presence will always meet those who seek Him.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being a God who still speaks to Your children. In a world filled with distractions and competing voices, help me recognize and follow Yours above all else.
Speak peace into my heart today. Silence every fear, anxious thought, and doubt that tries to steal my confidence in You. Teach me to trust Your promises even when I cannot see the whole path ahead.
Draw me closer to You as I spend time in Your Word and in prayer. Let Your voice become more familiar each day, and fill my heart with the peace that only You can give.
Thank You for Your constant love, Your faithful guidance, and Your comforting presence.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
