Today’s Grace Daily Devotional

“Seek the Lord and His strength;

Seek His face evermore!”

— 1 Chronicles 16:11 (NKJV)

Today’s Grace Daily Devotional is here to help you start your day anchored in God’s Word.

If it encourages you, share it with someone who needs it.

There are moments in life when we feel depleted.

Physically tired.

Emotionally stretched.

Spiritually dry.

In those moments, our instinct is often to try harder, to push through, fix it ourselves, or figure out the next step.

But this verse gives us a different strategy.

Seek.

Not strive.

Not control.

Not panic.

Seek the Lord.

Seek His strength.

Seek His face.

To seek His strength means we admit ours is not enough. It means we stop pretending we can carry everything alone. God never asked you to be self-sufficient — He invites you to be God-dependent.

And then it says, “Seek His face evermore.”

To seek someone’s face is personal. It’s relational. It’s not just asking for help — it’s pursuing presence.

God doesn’t just want to give you strength.

He wants to give you Himself.

And here’s the beautiful part:

When you seek Him consistently, strength becomes the byproduct.

What This Means for You Today

  • If you feel overwhelmed — seek Him first.

  • If you feel uncertain — seek His wisdom.

  • If you feel weak — lean into His strength.

  • If things are going well — seek Him anyway.

The verse doesn’t say seek Him occasionally.

It says seek Him evermore.

Daily. Continually. Intentionally.

Strength flows from proximity.

A Prayer for Today

Father,

I come to You today not in my own strength, but in need of Yours.

Teach me to seek You first — before solutions, before answers, before striving.

Help me to desire Your presence more than quick fixes.

When I feel weak, remind me that Your strength is perfect.

When I feel distracted, draw my heart back to Your face.

I choose today to seek You evermore.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
