Today’s Scripture
“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:13 (NKJV)
Reflection
Life will give us moments when standing firm feels difficult. Circumstances may change, people may disappoint us, and uncertainty can cause fear to creep into our hearts.
But God calls us to something greater than simply reacting to what happens around us. He calls us to stand fast in the faith.
Standing firm doesn’t mean we never feel afraid or discouraged. It means that even when we feel weak, we choose to trust the One who is strong.
The world may tell you to give up, but God reminds you to keep going. When you don’t know what tomorrow holds, you can still know who holds tomorrow.
Your strength doesn’t have to come from having everything figured out. It can come from knowing that God is with you.
How can you apply this in your life?
Today, pay attention to the moments when fear, doubt, or discouragement begin to take hold.
Instead of allowing those feelings to determine your response, pause and turn your heart toward God.
Ask Him for courage. Ask Him for wisdom. Ask Him for strength.
Then take the next step in faith.
You may not be able to control everything happening around you, but you can choose where you place your trust. Stand firm in God’s promises, even when your circumstances are uncertain.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Give me the strength to stand firm in my faith today. When I face challenges, help me not to be overcome by fear or doubt.
Make me brave when I feel weak, strong when I feel weary, and steadfast when challenges come. Help me keep my eyes on You and trust that You are with me every step of the way.
Remind me that I don’t have to face today’s battles in my own strength. Your grace is sufficient, and Your presence is greater than anything I may face.
Help me walk boldly in faith, trusting You even when I cannot see what lies ahead.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
Challenge for Today
Stand firm.
When you encounter something today that causes fear or discouragement, don’t immediately focus on the problem. Take a moment to pray:
“Lord, I trust You. Give me the strength to stand firm.”
Then move forward with courage, knowing that God is with you.
Whatever you face today, remember this:
You may feel weak, but you are not alone. You may feel uncertain, but God is faithful. You may face challenges, but you can stand firm in faith.
Be brave. Be strong. Keep your eyes on God.
He will give you the strength to stand.
