Today’s Scripture
“He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.”
— Psalm 103:10–12 (NKJV)
Reflection
God knows every mistake we have made. He knows our failures, our shortcomings, and the moments when we have fallen short.
Yet His response is not to condemn us.
His mercy meets us where we are.
Psalm 103 reminds us that God’s mercy is greater than we can comprehend. We don’t receive what our failures deserve; instead, God extends compassion, forgiveness, and grace.
That should fill our hearts with gratitude.
But God’s mercy also challenges us. If we have received mercy from Him, we are called to extend that same mercy to others. There may be someone who has hurt you, disappointed you, or wronged you. Forgiveness may not erase what happened, but it can release your heart from carrying the weight of it.
Today, remember how much mercy God has shown you—and allow that mercy to shape the way you treat others.
Application
Take a moment today to reflect on the ways God has shown you mercy.
Thank Him for the mistakes He has forgiven, the failures He has redeemed, and the times He has given you another opportunity.
Then consider someone who may need your forgiveness or compassion. Ask God to help you see that person through His eyes and respond with grace rather than resentment.
You don’t have to carry yesterday’s failures into today.
God’s mercy gives you a new beginning.
Prayer
Gracious God,
I am deeply thankful for Your mercy. You know my mistakes, my shortcomings, and the times I have fallen short, yet You continue to extend grace and forgiveness.
Thank You for not treating me according to my failures but instead meeting me with compassion.
Help me extend that same mercy to others who have hurt or disappointed me. May Your forgiveness humble my heart and inspire me to live with greater love, grace, and gratitude each day.
Thank You for Your unfailing mercy and for giving me another day to walk with You.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Challenge for Today
Choose gratitude over guilt today.
Thank God for one specific way He has shown you mercy, and then look for one opportunity to show mercy, forgiveness, or kindness to someone else.
Remember: The mercy God gives you is also the mercy He calls you to share. 🙏❤️
