Today’s Theme: The Depth of God’s Love

Today is heavy.

It’s the day we remember the cross, the suffering, the sacrifice, and the unimaginable love of Jesus. What looked like defeat was actually the greatest victory ever won. Today, we pause to reflect on the depth of that love… and what it means for us personally.

Scripture to focus on: Isaiah 53:5

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities… and by his wounds we are healed.”

Today’s Devotional:

Good Friday is the day where our savior paid the ultimate sacrifice.

It’s the day we remember the suffering of Jesus, the nails, the crown of thorns, the cross. But more than the physical pain, He carried something even greater: our sin.

Every failure. Every shame. Every mistake.

Placed on Him.

The cross is where justice and mercy meet. Where love is not just spoken, but proven.

Jesus didn’t go to the cross reluctantly. He chose it. For you.

And because of that sacrifice, we are forgiven. Redeemed. Made new.

Reflection Questions:

  • What does the cross mean personally to you?

  • Are you fully receiving the forgiveness Jesus paid for?

Today’s Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for the cross. Thank You for taking my place and carrying my sin. Help me never take Your sacrifice for granted. Teach me to live in the freedom You paid for. In Your Name, Amen.
