Stepping into a new year often brings both excitement and uncertainty.
Today’s devotional encourages us to move forward, not with fear, but with faith, trusting that God is already at work in what we cannot yet see.
Today’s Scripture:
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)
Reflection:
Faith does not wait for certainty before it moves, it trusts God enough to take the next step. As the new year approaches, God may not reveal every detail of what lies ahead, but He promises His presence in every step we take. Walking by faith means believing that God is working even when our circumstances feel unclear or unfinished.
Often, we want assurance before obedience, clarity before commitment. Yet Scripture reminds us that faith is not about seeing the whole path, it’s about trusting the One who leads it. God is already in your tomorrow, preparing what you cannot yet imagine, aligning moments you cannot yet see, and making a way where there appears to be none.
Walking by faith doesn’t mean ignoring fear; it means choosing to trust God in spite of it. Each faithful step, no matter how small, builds spiritual strength and deepens our dependence on Him.
Application:
Take time to reflect on where God may be inviting you to step forward in faith this year. Is there a decision, conversation, or change you’ve been hesitant to make? Ask God for discernment and courage to follow where He is leading.
Challenge for Today:
Identify one intentional step of faith you can take today. It doesn’t have to be big, obedience in small steps often leads to powerful transformation.
Prayer:
Lord, help me walk by faith and not by fear. When the path ahead feels uncertain, remind me that You are already there. I trust You to lead me into the year ahead, one step at a time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
