Today’s Scripture

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters… And will not fear when heat comes.”
Jeremiah 17:7–8

Reflection

Trusting God doesn’t mean that difficult seasons will never come. It means that when they do, we don’t have to be shaken by them.

Jeremiah gives us the picture of a tree planted by the waters. Its roots reach deep, allowing it to remain strong even when the heat arrives. In the same way, when our lives are rooted in God and His promises, we can remain steady when circumstances become difficult.

Our confidence isn’t found in having everything under control. It is found in knowing the One who does.

Whatever you are facing today, place your trust in the Lord. He is your source of strength, peace, and hope.

Application

Take a moment today to identify one situation you have been trying to control or carry on your own.

Give it to God.

Instead of allowing fear to determine your response, choose to trust His promises. Remind yourself that your circumstances may change, but God remains faithful.

Stay rooted in Him through prayer, Scripture, and faith.

Prayer

Lord, Thank You for the blessing of being able to place my complete trust in You. When life becomes difficult and unexpected challenges arise, help me remain firmly rooted in Your promises. Just as a tree planted by living waters continues to thrive, let my faith remain strong through every season. Fill me with confidence, peace, and hope as I depend on You. May my life bear fruit that brings glory to Your name and encourages those around me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Challenge for Today

Choose one thing you are worried about and intentionally surrender it to God today.

When fear begins to rise, pause and say:

“Lord, I trust You with this.”

Then move forward with faith, knowing that you are firmly rooted in Him.
